Jesus Woman

Let’s start with Jesus in her 20’s. Her famous preacher cousin, John the Baptist, baptized her and she felt it was time to gather the attention of the crowds: it was time to slay the old faith and start a new, revolutionary, world. [[next->next2]] (set: $followers to 0)

She spoke to some of her cousin’s followers about how God can be (set: $s to (text-style: "rumble")) $s[problematic] sometimes, but he was her father and also the father of everyone. She says everyone is equal, and that there is no such thing as being superior. This caught their attention, since they were mostly poor and marginalized. He says "yes" very suspiciously, and she puts some clay over his eyes. He asks "what the hell are you doing?" and she says "wait, and you will literally see". She cleans the clay and BAM, he can see again. Growing up, she still couldn’t understand what’s up with her. She has never had contact with her (set: $b to (text-color: green)) $b[*biological*] father, so her father figure was Joseph. He was very kind and supportive, and they knew she wasn’t going to grow up to be like the other girls.This was a huge problem. People usually hate anything that is different. [[next->next4]]

You want this son to marry my girl? This girl who is full of life, intelligence, and personality? This girl here deserves the world! She has charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. Mary smiles at him and says “the Romans tried to harm us before, and we found shelter. They are constantly harming our people, yet we are still here. Which side are you on, dear priest? You come to my house with a stinky son whose cowardice is the only thing he has. It’s clear, since he is here seeing it all and hasn't said a WORD. You want this son to marry my girl? The priest looks frightened. He never saw a girl like this before and his fear was making him angry. His bigotry wouldn’t allow him to just leave quietly and forget what just happened. “You dare to come to my temple again and I’ll let the Roman soldiers know. I have more power than YOU!”, said the angry desperate priest. Mary smiles at him and says “the Romans tried to harm us before, and we found shelter. Jesus hugs both her parents and says “this… this is the power of love. Love is freedom”. The priest and his son leave the house uncontent and revengeful. Jesus and her family are stressed, but they are united by love. [[next->next5]]

Mary and Joseph stand behind Jesus and look camly to the angry priest as he left with his stinky son. No words were needed: they loved and trusted each other, and they knew they would overcome this situation. [[next->next5]]

A few months later, John - not yet the Baptist - came with his mom to visit the family. He is a bit older than Jesus, but still a teenager. He heard from some merchants that the priest’s son rejected to marry Jesus and he knew something was not quite right about this story. Jesus reacts: [[Peacefully: “this man doesn’t know what he is doing, he lacks love and I feel sorry for him.”->peacefully]] [[Angrily: “what the hell? This is absurd, who does he think he is to spread such a lie!”->angrily]]

John looks at his cousin and feels very inspired. “That’s it! That’s what’s missing in the world. Love. People rarely talk about love.” says he. John looks at his cousin and feels sad. “I’m so sorry that a man of God has caused this. Anger brings only negative feelings. I hope you can feel better someday.” says he. One day, a priest visited Jesus’ family. Jesus was 12 at the time. The priest came and bring his very ugly and unclean 18 year old son to meet her and pressure her to marry him. Her parents tried to politely decline, but the priest kept pushing for it. He wanted his son to marry someone nearby as soon as possible, and Jesus was the only unmarried girl in that village. Jesus enters the room: [[“My existence has a purpose and I’m sure it is NOT to marry your son”->independent]] [[“I see you have a lot of fear. Fear that your son will be lonely and miserable. Fear of rejection. So much insecurity. Jesus knew that God chose Mary and Joseph to take care of her for a reason. As many people were raising their girls to be moms and take care of the house, Mary and Joseph taught Jesus how to fish, cook, take care of animals, carpentry, read, write, and also allowed her to have critical thinking. She was able to question her existence, her role in society, and all social structures in the Jewish community and Roman Empire. [[next->nextnext4]]

John feels really inspired. “I’m feeling something in my heart. I feel I could help change the world. I see you are so young, and you know so much. It’s clear that we are a part of an oppressive system, which benefits from making us poor and full of fear. This should stop. I’ll figure out what I can do to gather some folks and talk about living our lives with love, respect and equality. Respect and honor nature and all living beings”. John starts a new life. He goes to the river and takes a bath to clean himself of his previous life. The days of conformity, fear, anger and sadness are gone. John now has no fear, he is shielded by his belief that life will be better. He is ready to fight the power. John is the first official follower of Jesus’ philosophy. John says “It shouldn't be like that. Something so basic and costless should be everywhere. I really hope that someday we can change these things and bring a new perspective to people.” and a faint glimmer of hope appears in his eyes. John lets out a sad little sigh. He seems to understand the weight of these problems. During her teenage years, Jesus worked part time with her father building wooden furniture and tools for the local merchants. One day, a very satisfied client congratulated Joseph for a piece and said he will bring some clients from a neighboring village to buy with him. [[next->continue1]]

“The piece you loved was made by my daughter, Jesus. She is very talented.” said Joseph. “Oh, there must be a defect!” the merchant continues “I think the feet are uneven. But it looks so beautiful… you know, she should be married, not doing men things. I know a lot of young men that would find her carpentry skills useful. They would pay good money for her hand”. Jesus was listening behind the door. Those words hurt. She felt it was unfair, since she was sure the feet were perfectly balanced. She worked hours in this piece. I don’t see Jesus hanging out with those merchant guys; they care too much about the business. She cares about people.”. The merchant laughs at Jesus “hard working girl, your father is making good use of your skills.”, says he. She looks deeply at his eyes and says “I’m here because I love spending time with my father. I love working with wood, and I love making people happy. I’m glad you enjoyed my piece.”Little girl, you were listening behind the walls? Not cool.” - giggles the merchant. The years have passed and teenage Jesus was turning 18. Her cousin, John, came to visit with some good and bad news. [[next->next6]]

Good news: he has many people adopting his philosophy and now answers to the sobriquet “John the Baptist”. He uses baptism as a ritual symbolizing the purification of the spirit. You free your mind and your soul of the fear and oppression and embrace a new life. A life in which Jewish, Romans, and all other people were equal and had the right to live, to love, to learn things and be respected. A life full of love and freedom. Jesus got very excited about his journey. Time to hear the bad news. [[next->next7]]

Bad news his mom died and he needed help. He was still a man of faith, but he was responsible for the house now. To take care of a house doesn’t suit a preacher’s life. “Why are you telling it just now?” asks Mary, cousin of John’s mom. “It was sudden and it was her desire to be remembered as she was alive and not dead. Now that mom and dad died, and my siblings moved out, as the older son I have to decide how to move on and I had an idea. What about making the house a shelter for poor unfortunate souls?”, says John. Jesus, Mary, Joseph and John headed to his village, a few hours from there. They spent a few days cleaning the house and organizing places where people could rest. Back home, Jesus went to sleep super tired. Something special happened that night. It was the first time she receives a message from her *biological* father. Since God is pure life, the messenger is an angel who looked very human, but with no clear gender. The angel is bright and lightens the whole room. “Hey Jesus, how are you doing? It’s funny you are, like, a real person.” says the angel. And they move on: “So, you heard this from your parents and I know you never had any real clue you are holy, powerful and so on. You are a very nice girl and God is very proud and we know you can feel it. And you also must know why I’m here.” “Yes, I know”, answers a sleepy Jesus. While she was working on the shelter, she felt she had a mission. She knew she had to do something extremely crazy, something that would need a lot from her. Her whole existence. [[next->next8]]

As you already know, at the age of 20 something Jesus got baptized by her lovely cousin. Since he grew to have many followers, there was a huge number of men who were still skeptical of accepting women as equal. Even though John was an arduous women advocate, he had no super powers. Some of those men were being mean to Jesus. Among those people, there was the merchant’s family, Jesus met some years ago. Jesus snaps her fingers and the annoying men are sent to hell... Jesus has $followers and now is being wanted by the Romans. [[continue->continue5]]

Jesus walks over water to gather the attention of the people, then she moves close to the shelter and finds a blind man who was being mean, but he was very happy to be able to see again. Jesus managed to heal the man who was blinded by patriarchy, making the man see everyone equally. And by seeing the truth, the man decided to follow Jesus. Some people in the crowd did not believe what they saw. However, someof the people were impressed by Jesus. Jesus travels around Palestine, Jordan, Egypt and the more she travels, the more she learns about her mission. She is there to break the status quo. She wants everyone to know the world could be a better, equal place. “People, go and tell everyone, we all are kids of God, we have the right of a decent life, respect, equality, justice. We all deserve food, water and shelter” are the words of Jesus. (if: $killer is true)[[[“We know you are a killer, you are no different from the Romans!”, says a man in the crowd. Jesus replies “I only kill sexist misogynist idiots.”->diehard]]] [[“Jesus, how can we follow you, or go tell everyone if we don’t have food, nor water”, says a woman in the crowd. “We have a few bread and some fish. Also, some gallons of water. We have around a thousand people here, it’s not going to have enough food for everyone”, says the woman. “You are a murderer! Let's stop this criminal!!!” a man screams in the crowd, and everyone in the crowd starts shouting and advancing furiously. Jesus is violated in every possible way and dies as an unknown indigent. Like uncountable women in history, Jesus has never been mentioned in books and her existence, deeds and actions have been forgotten in history. You ended the game with $followers followers. Jesus gives the group instructions to get to a shed where they found supplies. They are very happy a miracle happened! (set: $followers = $followers + 1000) As soon as they distribute the food to the people, the number of followers increases like crazy. Now Jesus has $followers followers, and the Romans noticed something was happening. They try to surround the area, but there are too many people. They would nee reinforcements. The amount of people around Jesus alerted the Romans. Something was going on and they couldn’t lose their power. As people were expecting a miracle to happen, the Romans surrounded the area. They have swords and armors. The people they chase are ill and prostitutes, poor housewives, kids, people with no hope. A group of Roman soldiers walk toward Jesus.
